Self-Soothe

When we’re young, we adopt the self-soothing activity of sucking one of our fingers or a pacifier. When we gain a few years, we quickly learn that this action is no longer acceptable. Some of us may have tasted pepper once or twice before we learned the lesson *side eye.* So, what’s the alternative? Let’s talk about it. What does (healthy) self-soothing look like for you?
